How to make a QR code for your shop

1. Choose what the code should open: a WhatsApp chat with you, a link (your website, Facebook page or Google Maps location), or a contact card that saves your number in the customer's phone.
2. Type your business name and number or link. The QR code updates as you type.
3. Scan it once with your own phone to check it, then press Download PNG or Print.

Which type should I choose?

WhatsApp chat

Best for shops, home businesses and delivery services. When a customer scans it, WhatsApp opens a chat with your number, and the message you wrote is already typed for them. Write the number the way you normally do, such as 0300 1234567; the tool changes it to the international format (92300...) for you.

Website or Google Maps link

Use this to send people to your website, online store, Facebook page or your exact location. To get your location link, open Google Maps, find your shop, press Share and copy the link.

Contact card (vCard)

The customer's phone offers to save your name, number, address and website as a new contact. This is useful on visiting cards, so people do not have to type your number by hand.

Where to use your QR code

• On the shop counter, door or window, so walk-in customers can save your WhatsApp for orders.
• On visiting cards, flyers, bills, receipts and packing.
• On delivery bags and boxes, so customers can reorder easily.
• On banners and vehicles — print it large enough, at least 2 cm wide for cards and bigger for banners.

Tips for a QR code that always scans

• Keep it dark on a light background. Do not print it on a busy picture.
• Leave a white margin around it. The download already includes one.
• Keep the message short. A long message makes the code more crowded and harder to scan.
• Test it on two different phones before you print hundreds of copies.

These QR codes are static: the information is inside the code itself, so they never expire and keep working even without our website. If your number changes, simply make a new one.
