How the times are calculated

Times are calculated from the position of the sun using the method of the University of Islamic Sciences, Karachi (Fajr and Isha at 18° below the horizon), which is the method most commonly used in Pakistan. Asr is shown by the Hanafi method by default, as followed by most mosques in Pakistan; choose Shafi if you follow the earlier Asr time.

Why your mosque may differ by a few minutes

Mosques often set jamaat a little after the start time, and some add a few minutes of caution to Fajr, Maghrib and Isha. Local committees may also use slightly different angles. Use these times as the start of each prayer's time, and follow your local mosque for jamaat.

Sehri and iftar in Ramadan

Sehri ends at the start of Fajr, and iftar is at Maghrib. Many timetables show a sehri time a few minutes earlier than Fajr as a precaution.

Prayer times are provided by the free Aladhan service. The Hijri date is calculated and can differ by a day from the date announced after moon sighting in Pakistan.
