The converter uses mid-market reference rates that are updated once a day. They are useful for a quick idea of value — for example, how much a USD 100 invoice or a SAR 2,000 salary is in rupees. The rate you actually get from a bank, an exchange company or a money transfer service is a little different, because they add their own margin and their buying and selling rates are not the same.
In Pakistan you will often hear two rates for the US dollar: the interbank rate used between banks, and the open market rate at exchange companies. They are usually close, but can differ by a few rupees. Check the State Bank of Pakistan or your bank for the official rate on a given day.
